Drs. Van Wageningen and Partners offer a dedicated sports medicine and orthopaedic radiology service. MRI, diagnostic ultrasound, PACS and X-ray facilities are present. The practice has high-resolution diagnostic ultrasound facilities used in assessing soft tissue injuries (such as muscle tears, ligament strains) . Image-guided procedures are also performed under ultrasonic guidance. The unit has an Open Lowfield Magnet MRI machine . The Open Lowfield Magnet MRI is able to give clarity in many difficult cases at a fraction of the cost of larger MRI machines. The Open MRI has the added benefit of optimal patient comfort and is ideal for patients who may suffer from claustrophobia. In addition to this, a standard x-ray facility is also available on the premises.The practice is fully digitised and PACS compliant. A specialist Musculoskeletal Radiologist will provide the relevant reports.
